This picture is dedicated to my Grandson Evan and his Ruby who brought the bouquet and lots of smiles to Fortune Street. Lavender always reminds me of Grandma Addie Turner Leftwich who had to have everything lavender, from dresses to jewelry. September City Council meeting with extra space

Fara Popplewell Miniard, center, Community Development Specialist with the Lake Cumberland Area Development District, presented details of USDA application grant in progress at the September 7, 2021 City Council meeting. The City has applied for a grant in the amount of $33,997.72 for equipment to be used in police cruisers. The City's contribution would be a third should the grant be approved and the budget be amended to handle it.
The meeting was held in the basement of City Hall so everyone could spread out and socially distance in the face of growing COVID-19 virus cases in Adair County.
