First Chrysanthemums

2021-09-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com
This picture is dedicated to my Grandson Evan and his Ruby who brought the bouquet and lots of smiles to Fortune Street. Lavender always reminds me of Grandma Addie Turner Leftwich who had to have everything lavender, from dresses to jewelry. Even to her great-great grandchildren, Addie's lavender remains a favorite color down through the ages.

“It's turtle breeding season. You can tell the males from the females by looking at the bottoms of their shells; the females have a flat bottom while the males have a concave bottom.”
