I'll be missing the beautiful summer Crepe Myrtle blossoms on my walks downtown. Their season of color has brightened days and their shade has lessened heat but as Jelaine Harlow signs off on her email messages, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1. Daniel Trabue, builder of the one-and-a-half-story brick home on the bluff overlooking Columbia, was portrayed by Columbia historian Richard Phelps at the 200th anniversary celebration of the historic Trabue Russell House. If you missed getting to talk with him, Richard will be on hand at this Saturday's festival in historic Creelsboro, KY impersonating Elijah Creel. Comments | Permalink
