The 20th Annual Madison Airshow took place this weekend in Madison, IN, and the featured plane was this Boeing B-17G–110–VE Flying Fortress, known as the Yankee Lady. According to the Wikipedia page for the plane, it did not fly in combat, but was restored to be representative of the era.

Mushrooms of Kentucky: the Puffball returns

The cats called my attention to the Puffball mushroom growing under their Maple tree. It must be a relative of the one that grew in almost the exact same spot last year. While this is nowhere near the size of the giant mushroom discovered a year ago by Earl Coffey, still, for downtown Columbia, we think this one is a pretty big deal. Comments | Permalink
