Meet Nishi Sharma from India where The Festival of Lights, Or Diwali, is celebrated. Diwali is a five-day celebration that includes good food, fireworks, colored sand, and special candles and lamps.
Nishi Sharma chose to come to LWC because our MTSM course curriculum is really great and also learning about it from a few alumni made her interested in the program. She is most looking forward to visiting campus, attending university, and meeting the faculty and peers. The hardest adjustment she has had to make in America, is the change in climate. The FRYSC (Family Resource Youth Services Center) Directors decided the best way to use their budgeted KY-ASAP (Agency for Substance Abuse Policy) Red Ribbon Week money this year to reach all their students would be to help Police Chief Jr. Murphy and the City Police Department with their new informational drug trailer that will be used at all our schools and for our community.
