Daffodils - the biggest crop I've seen this year, located on Hwy 206 - may be challenged to live through the night as emergency services predict a freeze with a significant amount of snow starting after suppertime. If the weather reports are right, they could be up to their little Daffodil eyeballs when they wake Saturday morning.

Chester and Kathy Shuffett Taylor were special guests at the March Chamber of Commerce meeting Tuesday where he spoke on jobs training. He is a passionate ambassador of the Workforce Development program, stressing how our high school students can be trained to fit the job needs of any business wanting to locate here. He detailed in more depth what he shared with the Economic Development Authority in a special tour last month. As a Board member, he will be available to answer questions at the Economic Development Authority (EDA) meeting this coming Tuesday at 8amCT in the Training and Development Center, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia. Best ambassador because he helped build it.
