The subject on the table was remembering when work was work and how anymore people don't really know what it is. Steve Watson said one of their family's winter memories was when it was so cold as Uncle Roy delivered his mail over the ridges on horseback, he had to ask Aunt Ella to bring a pot of coffee out and pour it over his boots to get them loose from the iced stirrups before he could get off and go in the house. History writer JIM was moved by the Daffodil picture which included the historic house on the corner of Fortune and Reed Streets in Columbia. He writes: The Fields House in the background of the Burkesville Street daffodils photo reminded me of Sybille Tuuha's song The Old House- Jim
Me, too, Jim! Thank you for including the link to the song so we could quickly revisit Sybille's beautiful music written about the house she and her husband Jukka Tuuha purchased from the Rigney family, and recorded at Red Brick Studios on the Square. - LW
