A Clark Street dog with fries from Lonnie's Best Taste of Chicago on St. Matthews Avenue in Louisville. It features a pure beef dog served on a steamed poppy seed bun with yellow mustard, piccalilli relish, fresh chopped onions, tomato wedges, cucumbers, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt.

Birds of Kentucky: Watching American Robins hatch

Mike writes, "Our 3 robins left the nest today. It's been a joy watching them. This collage shows the progress from eggs, to mama keeping them warm and then watching over them after they hatched, and finally being big enough to fly away. The bottom right picture was taken the day before they left the nest."

Lantern Tour - young historian observing

Jack Bowman, at left, was the youngest in attendance at the Friday evening Lanterns & Tombstones Tour in the Columbia City Cemetery. Tour guide and genealogist, Mike Watson, at right, said the earliest marked grave in the oldest part of the cemetery is 1812. Jack and his Papaw Albert Gray were among those on the walk.
