The week of May 8 through May 14, 2022, has been proclaimed as "Nursing Home Week," in Columbia, Kentucky, as the result of a proclamation issued by Mayor Pamela Hoots. In the signing of the proclamation with Mayor Pamela Hoots are Summit Manor employees Deb Smith, Misty Sewell, Dana Helm, Jamie Turner, Lana Roy, and Latasha Harden; as well as elders Eula Moss, Rose Willis, and Rebecca Melton. Summer Shade Founder's Day - we did something new. We crowned Mrs. Margaret Vibbert as the Queen of Summer Shade! Today, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 as she turns 104 years young, she is, we think, the perfect choice.
