Native son Michael Webb shared his singing, and playing on three different instruments, in performance at the annual Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce banquet Tuesday evening at Lindsey Wilson College. He shared his life path, discovering music in Adair County public schools. He remembered his band at ACHS, Equinox, and said, "our proudest moment was representing Adair County at the State Fair. We got our first standing ovation right down the hill at the Fairgrounds." His father Dr. George Webb was in the audience at the banquet. His mother Elizabeth was unable to attend but is known to be his number one fan. Comments | Permalink

The Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce 2022 Business of the Year is Don Franklin Ford. The family business has grown to over 900 employees in more than 24 locations across Kentucky since it was started in Columbia in 1968 as Don's Auto Sales. Franklin family members in attendance at the annual banquet Tuesday evening were, from left in back: Alanna, Eddie Jr (holding Ethan), Ben, Nathaniel, Daniel, Don Jr. In front, from left are: Eddie (holding Eli), Barbara, Dan and Melinda.
