Lola and Bogey found safe along Russell Creek

2022-07-24 - Adair Co., KY - Photo from Chris Wilson
Chris writes, "Thank you everyone for the many calls, texts and messages. We have thankfully found our dogs along a farm about 1 & 1/2 miles down the creek. Jill Wilson performed a swift water rescue once she heard the little one (Bogey) whimpering in a field up off the bank - the dog recognized her voice and suddenly plunged into the water, followed by Lola, the grown dog. Simon and good friend Tanner Foster came to the rescue to help load up everyone out of the creek. Also, a BIG thanks to one of Wilson's former clients- Gordon 'Terry' Neal who helped guide them to an exit point on Russell Creek just before dark. Praise the Lord for a happy ending! Thanks everyone."

Athletic Director Craig Biggs, standing, shared updates on all the sports activities in the works this summer at the July school board meeting. The band was also a topic of discussion, drawing some parents to the meeting who are interested in seeing the band space in the new Adair County Middle School made large enough for the growing band with over 90 students coming in at the start of the semester.
